搬进新房后有很多东西需要收拾，聊一聊如何收拾新房
 
来听今天的讲解:
 
A: it’s so great to be here! I’m so excited to help you and my daughter with your new home!
 
来这儿真是不错！我很高兴能帮你和我女儿收拾新房。
 
B: we’re glad that you’re here. Would you like a tour of the house?
 
我们很高兴你能来。想不想参观下我们的房子？
 
A: that’d be great, but could I have a cup of tea first?
 
太好了。我能不能先喝杯茶？
 
B: sure, I’ll just go put the kettle on. Why don’t you have a seat on the sofa and I’ll go take care of things in the kitchen.
 
当然可以，我去把水壶的开关打开。你现在沙发上坐一会儿，我到厨房准备准备。
 
A: that would be lovely, thanks.
 
那可太好了，谢谢。
 
B: do you take milk or suger with your tea?
 
茶里以后放糖还是奶。
 
A: I’ll take a little milk, but no suger, please. Make sure you let the tea steep a few minutes before you take the tea bag out of the cup.
 
请给我加一点牛奶，但是不放糖。茶包多沏一会儿再拿出来。
 
B: ok. What do you think about our living room?
 
好的。你觉得我们的客厅怎么样？
 
A: well, I do like the mantelpiece and the coffee table, but I don’t really care for curtains. Did you get them at a yard sale? They look ancient.
 
嗯，我很喜欢壁炉和咖啡桌，但是我觉得窗帘可不怎么样，你们是在大甩卖的时候买的吗？看起来很旧了。
 
B: my parents gave them to us as a house warming gift.
 
那是我父母送我们的新居礼物。
 
A: oh dear. Well, I suppose they will do for now. do you ever dust in here? It seems a bit dusty in here.
 
我的天。其实，我觉得挺不错。你们打扫过这里吗？这儿看起来有点脏。
 
B: your daughter usually does the dusting, and I do the vacuuming.
 
一般是你女儿扫掉尘土，我来用吸尘器吸尘。
 
A: I see. Well, I can help with the chores while I’m here. You two could probably use my help.
 
我知道了。我在这儿的时候可以帮你们做点杂物。让我帮忙干什么，你们尽管跟我说。
 
B: that’s very nice of you to offer. Here’s your tea. Be careful, it’s still quite hot.
 
你能来帮忙实在是太好了。这是你的茶，小心还有点烫。
