330. Given the huge amount of text generated by almost every transaction—from court briefs and legislation running into the thousands of pages to those foot-long receipts you get when you buy gum these days—a person who is a master of the written word can expect doors to open in just about every field.

点睛 本句的主干是...a person...can expect doors to open...。其中given引导的介词短语given the huge amount...transaction是原因状语;两破折号之间的内容from court briefs...these days是对the huge amount of text进行具体说明;who引导的定语从句修饰主语a person。

The minister said the reforms would generate new jobs.

You can leave the transaction of the matter to your secretary.

I ran into my childhood friend at the airport.

The man knows his daughter has run into trouble.

The guests on his wedding ran into 1000.

The young lady ran into the country with her mother and had a good day.
