  despair [di'spεə]

I despair of ever finding him again.

  5. Fortunately for them, the Bank of England has a team called Mutilated Ladieswhich deals with claims from people who fed their money to a machine or to theirdog.

  mutilated

  adj.

Police say the mutilated corpses discovered early today had bullet wounds and were most likely victims of sectarian violence.

He must deal with many difficulties.

  6. Dogs, it seems, love to chew up money!

You must chew your food well before you swallow it.

It seems that dogs love to chew up money!
