There has been a 3th successive night of anti-government protest in the Tunisian capital Tunis and BBC News with Fiona McDonald.

North Korea says it’ll send a delegation to next month’s Winter Olympics in South Korea. The offer came during the first talks in two years between the two Korean. The South has suggested that the two teams march together at the opening ceremony. It’s also proposed meetings of families divided by the Korean War. There are some hopes that the thaw will lead to a period of stability after months of heightened tensions.

The White House has declined to comment on reports that its lawyers have been in discussion with special counsel, Robert Mueller. He is leading the investigation of alleged Russian interference in US elections. The reports say there are plans for Mr. Mueller to interview President Trump.

The Syrian military says Israel has launched a series of strikes on targets close to Damascus. It says both Israeli war planes and missiles were deployed. Syrian rebels say an armed depot was targeted.

The tanker was carrying about a million barrels of condensate. One body has been found but more than 30 of the Iranian and Bangladesh crew remain missing.
