615　sit，seat和be seated

① sit是不及物动词，意为“坐”，过去式和过去分词都是sat。

Please sit down. 请坐下。

He sat in the sofa/in the chair/on the stool. 他坐在沙发上/椅子上/凳子上。

② seat可用作名词，意为“座位”，have/take a seat表示“请坐，坐”；take one's seat指在娱乐场所（如电影院等）对号入座，one's不可省。seat作动词用时，为及物动词，意为“使坐下，使就座”，后跟名词或反身代词作宾语，可用于被动语态。seat还可表示“容纳……人”。
