【注释】acid test本意是“酸性试验”，为化学术语。该习 语也源自19世纪中叶在美国加州出现的—淘金热”。 当时矿工们无法用肉眼或常规方法把黄金矿石和普 通金属区分开，于是就在矿石上滴酸性液体，看矿物 是否产生气泡或溶解。后来acid test便引申为任何一 种严格的测试或严峻的考验。
