To love oneself is the begin爱自己是漫步人生的起点

Love yourself. Love the things that make you. Your values and talents and memories. Your clothes, your nose, your woes(n.悲哀,苦恼). If you love yourself, you can jump into your life from a springboard(n.跳板) of self-confidence. If you love yourself, you can say what you want to say, go where you want to go.

The world can be a tough place, and some of the billions of people out there will try to knock you down. Don’t join them. Do things that make you proud, then take pride in(以…为傲) what you do. And in who you are.

“My great mistake, the fault for which I can’t forgive(v.宽恕) myself,” Oscar Wilde wrote, “is that one day I ceased my obstinate(adj.倔强的) pursuit of my own individuality.” Keep pursuing your individuality. Keep being yourself. Becoming yourself. It can be comforting to dress and act like everyone else. But it is grander to be different, to be unique, to be you.

“Let me listen to me and not to them,” wrote Gertrude Stein. It makes sense(清楚、明白、有意义) to consider the advice and opinions of other people. But don’t let their noise drown out （淹没） your inner voice. And don’t let the way you sometimes talk or behave in front of others make you lose sight of who you are when you are alone, when you are most you.

爱你自己以及组成你的一切。你的价值观，才华和回忆。你的衣着，你的长相和你的苦恼。如果你爱着自己，你就能从自信的跳板上一跃而起，投入你的生活之中。如果你爱着自己，你就可以说出你想说的话，去你想去的地方。

世界是残酷的，人群中的某些人总想把你打倒。不要与其同流合污。做值得让你为傲的事情，以你所做的事情为傲。以你自己为傲。

“我最大错误，我无法原谅自己的那个错误”，奥斯卡·王尔德写道，“就是有一天我放弃了对自我的执着追求。”坚持追求自我个性，坚持做自己，成为你自己。像别人那样打扮和行动也许让人放松，但是更重要的是个性独特，做真正的自己。

Gertrude Stein曾写过“让我听自己的而不是听别人的。”考虑他人的意见和想法确实很有道理，但不要让他人的干扰言词淹没你内心的声音。并且在他人面前偶尔说话行动时，不要丢失真实的自我，在你独处时那个最是你的自我。
