Mike: Want to come see my new Guitar Hero game?
Amanda:I can't. I have to go home and practice the piano. I'm playing in a recital next week.
Mike: You'll be good enough without practice. You're a natural.
Amanda: I can read music pretty well, but I'd be nothing without practice. I can't play by ear, and I know you used to be able to do that.
Mike: Yeah, I can do that some, but I'm too lazy to try to read notes. I was so glad when my parents finally let me quit taking lessons. Guitar Hero is as musical as I get now.
Amanda: Is that anything like those dance games where you have to step on the arrows the computer tells you to?
Mike: Yes, almost exactly like that. The computer tells you what keys to hold down and when to strum.
Amanda: I want to try it, but I'm terrible at those dance games. I just can't keep the beat. I guess I could come try it for awhile though.
Mike: It will still be fun even if you're not good at it. And it will be even more fun for me if I win all the time.
