I say that "getting up" is something that "I hate. The covers I have on my bed are heavy." 我说“起床”“我很讨厌。我床上盖的东西很重”。

The covers, "covers," are the things that you put over you to keep you warm. 床上盖的东西,“covers”是你盖在身上用来取暖的东西。

Usually, the covers include a blanket, sometimes a comforter and usually, what we would call the top sheet or flat sheet. 一般情况下,床上盖的东西有毛毯,有时候还有一床被子,以及我们通常所说的上层床单或床单。

A comforter, "comforter," is a very thick blanket--a very heavy blanket. 被子,“comforter”是很厚的毛毯——很重的毛毯。

A light, "light," blanket would be the opposite, and that is a blanket that will keep you warm, 薄的,“light”毛毯就恰恰相反，这种毛毯能保暖，

but if it gets very cold, it might not keep you warm--it might not be sufficient. 但是如果天气很冷，它可能就无法保暖了——只盖薄毯不够。
