The British prime minister Boris Johnson has been taken to hospital, 10 days after testing positive for Covid-19. His office says he is still suffering symptoms, including a high temperature. He will remain in Hospital overnight. Donald Trump has sent his best wishes, saying he was sure Mr.Johnson would be fine.

Queen Elizabeth has given a televised address, in which she urged the people of Britain and the commonwealth to remain resolute in the face of the pandemic. Speaking from Windsor Castle, she said countries worldwide would join in a common effort against the disease.

The medical association of Nigeria condemned the government plan to bring in a group of Chinese doctors to help fight the virus. The association said it could be better to make use many unemployed medical staff already in Nigeria.
