Cashing Traveier's Cheques兑现旅行支票

Daniel: Could you cash some traveler's checks for me?

丹尼尔：你能给我兑现一些旅行支票吗？

Clerk : Yes. How much do you want to cash?

职员：好的。您要兑现多少？

Daniel: Five hundred US dollars should do the trick.

丹尼尔：五百美元就好了。

Clerk: Please sign your name on the back of each check. May I see your passport, please?

职员：请在每张支票的背面签上您的名字。我可以看一下您的护照吗？

Daniel: Sure. Here it is. Will this take a long time? I'm kind off in a hurry. I have to catch a bus soon.

丹尼尔：好的，在这儿。要花很长时间吗？我有点急，我得去赶公交车。

Clerk: No. sir, not long at all. Do you want to cash all the checks in US dollars?

职员：不会用很长时间的，先生。您想把全部旅行支票都兑现成美元现钞吗？

Daniel: Let me see. Could you give me two hundred US dollars and the rest in RMB?

Clerk: All right. Just wait a moment.

丹尼尔：多谢。

1.“do the trick“是口语的说法，意思是“起作用，奏效，解决问题，达到目的”，例如：A bit more flour should do the trick.（再来一点面粉就可以了。）This low-cost solution may do the trick.（这个低成本的解决方案也许可以奏效。）

2.“kind of”表示“有一点，有点几，有些”，通常置于动词、形容词或副词前，用于口语中 例如：She looks kind of pale after her illness.（她病后面色有点苍白。）

3.“in a hurry"意思是”匆忙”，例如：I've got to go. I'm in a hurry.（我得走了，我比较赶时间。）“in too much of a hurry”表示“太匆忙，极匆忙”，倒如: You'll make mistakes if you do things in too much of a hurry.（如果你做事太匆忙，是会犯错的。）此外，“in a hurry to　do sth.”表示“匆忙做某事”，例如：Why are You in such a hurry to leave?（你为什么这么匆忙要走啊？）

4.“wait a moment”意为“稍等一会儿”，也可以说“just a moment”，“wait/just a minute/second”。
