故事原文

Some naughty boys bought some bottles of water in a shop. After they drank the water, they put stones in the bottles and then threw the bottles into a pond. Sometimes they threw only the stones into the pond. In the pond lived a lot of frogs. They were very afraid of the boys, because the stones hurt some of the frogs. At last an old frog lifted his head on top of the water and said, “Boys, please don't throw stones at us.” The boys said, “We are only playing.” “I know that, but please stop throwing stones, my boys. What is play to you is death to us,” said the old frog. One of the boys named John said, “We are wrong. We will not do that again. Sorry to bring danger to you.” So the boys stopped throwing stones and went away.
