Day 20 Some people believe that college students should consider only their own talents and interests when choosing a field of study

Some people believe that college students should consider only their own talents and interests when choosing a field of study. Others believe that college students should base their choice of a field of study on the availability of jobs in that field.

Write a response in which you discuss which view more closely aligns with your own position and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should address both of the views presented.

五问：

（1）选择一个学习方向与研究方向，需要考虑哪些因素？自己的天分与兴趣是不是因素之一？是否还有其他需要考虑的因素？你能罗列其中的一两个吗？例如：就业前景、对社会的意义等。

（2）选择自己感兴趣的方向有什么好处？例如：主动性会更强，愿意投入更多的时间和精力、享受其中的乐趣。有什么坏处？可能难以就业，难以获得足够的经济来源供自己继续在此方向进行研究。

（3）选择就业前景更好的研究方向有什么好处？你能具体地说一说吗？例如：不用过分担心以后的就业和生计问题，可以更加潜心于研究。之所以出现这个问题，是否意味着当前社会就业并不容易？会不会越是倡导学生选择容易就业的研究方向，就越会激化就业难的问题？例如：会导致就业前景好的研究方向生源饱和，供大于求。

（4）工作岗位可获得性是始终如一的吗？它会随着哪些因素的变化而变化？你能举个例子说明吗？工作岗位会随着社会的经济状况变化而变化，例如：在经济繁荣的时候，工作岗位比较充足，而经济衰退甚至是经济危机时，失业率就会较高。

（5）你认为理想的选择应该是什么样的？需要综合考虑哪些因素？个人兴趣？个人能力？当下社会现实情况？还是另有其他？

被一个“充满希望的”未来所诱惑，很多学生选择或被迫选择了一个可以让他们在求职方面有更多机会的学习领域，而非一个他们真正的才能或兴趣所在的领域。但是，多半情况下，这种牺牲并没有给他们带来他们所期待的结果。
