1 most 作形容词，表示“大多数的，大部分的”，用作定语，后跟复数名词，指一般的或泛指的人或物。这时，most 前不可用定冠词the。

2 most 作名词，表示“大多数，大部分”，表示特指的人或物。结构为：
most of+代词宾格
most of+限定词+名词 （限定词可以是定冠词、指示代词或形容词性物主代词 ）
作名词用的most 可以表示单数，也可以表示复数，取决于of后的名词。如果most of 后的名词或代词是复数，谓语动词就用复数；如果most of 后是单数名词或不可数名词，谓语动词就用单数。另外，这种用法的most 前不可加the。
