207　right和correct

1　right 作形容词用，意为“正确的，对的”，是wrong 的反义词。

He is quite right . 他非常对。

You are right , but he is wrong. 你是对的，但他错了。

2　right 作形容词用，意为“合适的，恰好的”。

You should do the right thing at the right time. 你应该在合适的时间做合适的事。

That's the right time to do it. 那是做事的恰当时机。

3　right 作名词用，意为“右，右边”，是left 的反义词。

He is standing on the right . 他站在右边。

There is a bookstore on the right of the street. 街道右侧有一家书店。

4　correct 表示“对的，正确的”，常可同right 换用，但correct 强调没有差错，精密，准确，right 则含有符合事实或真理而令人满意之意。

She speaks very correct English. 她英语说得很正确。
