301 man, person, people和the people
1 man 指成年男子，男士，复数形式为men，对应的是woman （复数为women）。
The man under the tree is his father. 树下的那个人是他父亲。

①man也泛指“人”。
The job is easy and any man can do it. 这工作很容易，任何人都能做。
②man也可指“人类”。
Man cannot live without water. 没有水人类无法生存。
2 person 意为“人”，包括男人、女人和小孩，最普通说法。
He is an important person . 他是一个重要人物。
Three persons saw it. 3个人看见了它。
3 people 意为“人，人们”，为复数形式，不能指一个人，作主语时谓语动词用复数，可用two, some, many, a lot of等修饰。
Many people come to the park on Sundays. 星期天许多人到这个公园里来。
What will other people say？别人会说什么呢？
Most people think so. 大多数人都这样想。
There were ten people present. 有10个人出席。
4 people 作“民族”解时，为可数名词，“一个民族”要说a people ，“多个民族”要用peoples 。
The Chinese is a great people . 中华民族是一个伟大的民族。
The peoples of the world love peace. 世界各国人民都热爱和平。
5 the people 意为“人民”。
She died for the people . 她为人民牺牲了。
