421　hurt和harm

1　hurt 作及物动词，表示“伤害，损害”，指肉体、自尊心、感情等的伤害，过去式和过去分词都是hurt 。

He was hurt in an accident. 他在事故中受了伤。

He won't hurt you. 他不会伤害你的。

Did she hurt herself when she fell? 她跌倒时伤了自己没有？

His words hurt her. 他的话伤害了她。（也可说hurt her feelings）

2　hurt 作不及物动词，表示“疼，痛”。

My foot still hurts . 我的脚还在痛。

My tooth hurts badly. 我的牙痛得厉害。

The shoes hurts me. 鞋勒得我脚疼。

3　harm 为通俗用词，着重指被伤害者有某种痛苦，对被伤害物造成损失，指具体或抽象伤害均可。

There was a fire in the street, but their house wasn't harmed at all. 街上发生了一场火灾，但他们的房子丝毫没有受损。

The storm did much harm to the crops. 风暴给庄稼带来了严重损失。

There is no harm in trying. 不妨一试。
