put on 意为“穿上，戴上”，表示一个动作，为固定的短语动词。put 为及物动词，on 为副词。put on 的宾语为名词时，该名词可以放在put与on之间，也可以放在put on的后面；put on 的宾语为代词时，该代词只能放在put和on之间，不可放在on的后面，因为副词后面不用代词。
She put her shoes on . （正）她穿上了鞋 。
She put on her shoes . （正）
She put them on . （正）她把它们穿上 。
