I've just conducted a survey in my school concerning the students' hobbies and interests．And I've made a pie chart to show you the result．It's apparent in the chart that doing sports ranks first，taking up 53%，followed by surfing the Internet accounting for 36%．On the other hand，a relatively small number of students prefer reading and playing musical instruments，both of which occupies less than 10%．

The result of the survey is not surprising．As teenagers，it's natural for a large number of us to spend our spare time playing outside，which will do good to our physical well-being．However，what worries me is that the number of students who choose the Internet is on the rise while that of reading books and playing musical instruments is dropping dramatically．With the development of modern technology，more computer games online are developed to cater to the teenagers' interest，many of which are both violent and meaningless．Unfortunately，a number of students have developed an addiction to them．They spend lots of time sitting in the sofa eating potato chips with one hand and clicking the mouse with the other．Such practice will certainly do no good to them both mentally and physically because they are gaining nothing but their weight．What's more，students who are addicted to the virtue world tend to be lazy and be reluctant to go back to work and study．

I would like the education administrations to take steps to encourage students to spend their spare time reading or playing musical instruments as both of the hobbies will do good to them in the long run．Meanwhile，the use of computers and the Internet should be specially guided by teachers．Only by doing so can we make our after-school life more colorful and meaningful．
