放烟花鞭炮是中国人过年时的风俗习惯，有人认为放烟花鞭炮是好事，因为……；而有些人认为是坏事，因为……；以“Should Firecrackers Be Banned”为题，谈谈你的看法。

Letting off firecrackers during the Spring Festival has been a Chinese tradition for a long time and it is generally believed that the sound of the firecrackers can scare away the evil ghosts around us．

Some people think that letting off firecrackers is absolutely a good tradition which not only creates an exciting festival atmosphere，but also brings luck in the year to come．However，others hold the opinion that letting off firecrackers is extremely dangerous since it causes injuries and even death，so laws and regulations should be made to ban firecrackers．

As far as I'm concerned，firecrackers should not be banned because letting off firecrackers shows our respect for our country and its history．In addition，we've already forgotten a lot of traditions which used to be parts of our life，so we should spare no effort to remain those traditions which we still remember．I firmly believe that a country without traditions is a country without spirits．That's why we should regard those traditions as our cultural fortunes．

All in all，firecrackers shouldn't be banned although sometimes they can be dangerous．As the saying goes，there are always two sides to a thing．What we should do is to keep our traditions as well as take safety into account！
