Nowadays some students tend to think that there are generation gaps between students and teachers and find it hard to communicate with them．However，in my opinion，as long as teachers and students pay more attention to the way of getting along with each other，a new relationship between students and teachers is sure to be set up．

First and foremost，the new relationship between students and teachers is based on respect．Everyone will feel like talking with you if they feel they're highly respected．Students should respect teachers for their knowledge and devotion to teaching．And teachers should also respect students，for each individual has his own thought．Secondly，more emphasis should be laid on understanding．When communicating，critical and aggressive words ought to be carefully avoided since nobody like to live in a critical environment．It's the understanding that leads to an enjoyable relationship．Last but not least，a new relationship requires interaction both in and out of class．As the saying goes，a teacher should also be a friend with students．Only by cooperating well and supporting each other can students and teachers narrow the so-called generation gaps．

In a word，students and teachers should trust each other when communicating．And we have every reason to believe that as long as they make effort together，a new relationship between is sure to be built．
