Some students find it really hard to communicate with their teachers because of the generation gap that is likely to exist．I hold a firm belief that a new relationship between students and teachers should be established，since teachers play quite an important role in students' education and life．

First of all，students and teachers should respect each other，for respect is the foundation for any relationship，based on which are feelings of equality，understanding and care developed．Also，having more in common can improve the relationship．Activities，such as sports meet and the Art Festival should call for both the teachers and the students to participate in so that they can share what's in their minds．Finally，it will probably be a good idea to put a small mail-box outside the teachers' office，which enables the students to turn to their teachers when faced with problems．Through the course of solving these problems，the emotional bond between students and teachers is effectively strengthened．

With the joint efforts of students，teachers as well as the school，we can expect to see a brand new relationship between teachers and students．
