Dear fellow students，

Good afternoon！I'm one of the candidates，Zhang Hua．Speaking to you today to run for the president of the English Club in our school and I have every faith in myself that you'll also agree I'm the right one for the position after my speech．

As for qualifications，since I've already passed the interpretation test with the highest score，my English ability，whether oral or written，can without doubt help me handle the challenging tasks as well as set a good example to all the members．As an active participant in the club for 2 years，so familiar am I with the daily operation of the club that I've already drawn a well-planed blueprint in my mind for the brighter future of the club．Thirdly，it's known to all that I feature a great enthusiasm for English and that such is my talent and creativity that I'll surely bring some fresh air to the club，and add to its vitality and diversity as well．

If I'm lucky enough to win over other opponents and finally be elected president，I'll first organize more interesting activities such as western film watching and poems recitation and so on，you name it，so as to attract more students to join us．Secondly，I'll invite more native speakers including foreign teachers and exchange students to communicate with our members，let them grasp a brief idea of other cultures，and thus arouse their interests in English learning．As long as we have grown to a certain scale，I'll negotiate with teachers to hold an annual English Festival，yes，our own festival and chances are that it'll become a shining stage for our members to show their talents in front of the whole school．
