My mother is a great cook. She makes the most wonderful dishes and always seems to come up with new ideas of what to fix. I also like to cook, but since coming to Europe, I haven't done it very often. One problem is that I'm cooking just for myself, so I don't often feel like making a nice meal. Also, the nearest grocery store has limited options of what you can buy. The bigger grocery stores offer much more, but I have a hard time going there after work. So, too often since being in Europe, my evening meal has consisted of crisps or some kind of sweet wafer. Since coming back from America after Christmas though, I decided to branch out and cook more. I have eaten more salads and vegetables than I had in months. Last night I even cooked chicken to go with my salad! It all depends on what kind of time I have in the evening...if I'm staying home or rushing out to spend the evening with a friend. But I hope this new phase of cooking will last!
