A: Please excuse what appears to be an ungenerous amount of charity that I gave last year. What you do not see is that I volunteered much of my time as well.

B: Then you are not ungenerous, but selfless.

A: 不好意思我去年只捐了很少的钱。你不知道其实我去年还花了大量的时间在做义工。

B: 这么说来，你并不是不大方，而是很无私。

A: You like to give money away and are quite generous, are you not?

B: I am. Which is why it is so hard for me to be married to such a penurious person!

A: 你喜欢给人钱，而且出手还很大方，不是吗?
