房屋的框架是什么意思？建一座房子需要多长时间

A: Rob, when you first came to Japan you said you did construction.
 
Rob，你说你第一次来日本是做的建筑。
 
B: Yes, I was hired as a framer for 2x4 types of homes, so the same style of homes that are built in Canada or America.
 
对，我是2x4类型房屋的策划者，加拿大或美国建的也是相同类型的房屋。
 
A: OK, so what do you mean by frames?
 
好，你说框架是什么意思？
 
B: Framing, the actually frame of the house so, we start from the foundation, we lay down the sub-floor, we build the walls, a second floor, more walls, square everything up, and then add in the windows, the exterior wrap, and on some occasions we will finish the roof.
 
框架，说的就是房屋的框架。我们从地基开始建起，然后我们建造地下层，接着砌墙，再建二层，再砌墙，墙体建好之后安窗子，装饰完外墙。一定情况下，我们会封顶。
 
A: How long does it take you to make a house?
 
建一座房子需要多长时间？
 
B: Our job would take around two to three weeks, with three guys, a team of three, we able to frame a house, shingle the roof, install the windows and the doors in less than three weeks.
 
我们一个组里是三个人，大概会用两到三周的时间搭框架，吊顶，安装门窗。
 
A: Oh, wow. Now when you work, do you work with a Canadian crew or Japanese?
 
哦，哇。你是跟加拿大人还是日本人一起工作？
 
B: Actually, it was quite mixed. Our boss was from Seattle, Washington, and we had people from Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and some Japanese workers.
 
事实上是很混乱的。我们老板来自华盛顿州的西雅图，而员工则来自加拿大，新西兰，澳大利亚，还有来自日本的。
 
A: Wow, that's cool. What it a good experience?
 
哇，那很酷啊。是个不错的经历吧？
 
B: Yeah, it was a very good experience. I hope one day maybe to be able to build my own house with some friends. It's possible to save money and it's the enjoyment of building something for yourself.
 
对呀，是个非常宝贵的经历。我希望能有一天和我的朋友建造属于自己的房子。不但能省钱还可以尽情享受自己建造的东西。
 
A: OK, where would you build this house?
 
好啊，那你打算把这所房子建在哪呢？
 
B: That's a good question. I'm thinking, maybe back in Canada, but maybe not in the East Coast. It'd be possibly in B.C. or maybe in another country. Who knows?
 
好问题啊，我在想也许我会回到加拿大，但也有可能不在东海岸。有可能是在不列颠哥伦比亚省，也有可能是在另一个国家。谁知道呢。
