blind[blaind] adj.1.瞎的；盲人的：a blind person 盲人 / a blind school 盲人学校 2.盲目的，缺乏判断力的：He’s completely blind to her faults. 他一点儿也觉察不到她的错误。
【用法】1. 表示某人或某动物的眼睛是瞎的，英语习惯上不以“眼睛”作主语，而通常以人或动物作主语(其后通常接介词 in)：He is blind in both eyes. 他双目失明。注意不能说：His eyes are blind. 2. 表示“变瞎”通常用连系动词 go, become 等：My grandmother has gone blind. 我奶奶眼睛变瞎了。3. 可与定冠词连用，表示“瞎子”这一类人。若用作句子主语，谓语动词通常用复数：Now the blind have books to read. 现在盲人也有书读。4. 用于引申义，表示“对…视而不见或看不到”，其后一般用介词 to：The young man was blind to the others’ faults. 这位年轻人对其他人的错误视而不见。 block[blCk] n.1.
