        这首Woman是John Lennon献给妻子的歌，出自他1980年的专辑DOUBLE FANTASY，这张专辑发行三周后，列侬就遇刺身亡，这张原本反响平平的专辑也因此备受关注，赢得1981年格莱美最佳专辑奖。这也是列侬在孩子出生五年后回归乐坛的作品，其中除了有这首献给妻子的歌，还有他写给自己儿子的那首Beautiful Boy，妇女节就要到啦，将这首歌送给你深爱的那个女人吧~

的拥有者(Most Excellent Order of the British Empire，简称 MBE)，是一名摇滚音乐家，歌手，作曲家，艺术家，演员，和平主义者。他因为披头士乐队(The Beatles)的创始人之一而享誉世界。列侬和保罗麦卡特尼(Paul McCartney)的组合是最成功最有影响力的歌曲创作组合之一，他们共同创作出了历史上最著名的摇滚歌曲。Lennon在电视中，电影(如A Hard Day's Night一夜狂欢)中，著作(如In His Own Write自写集)中，采访中展现出了放任不羁的性格和过人的机智。他作为和平主义者、艺术家的一些事迹饱受争议。

　　在The Beatles时期之后，Lennon成为了一名出色的独唱歌手，在此期间，他发行了"Give Peace a Chance"和"Imagine"等著名歌曲。经过1976到1980年的短暂隐退，Lennon带着他的全新专辑复出。但是，一月之后，他于1980年12月8日在纽约被伪装成歌迷的杀手枪杀。

　　Lennon有两个儿子:Julian Lennon(首任妻子Cynthia所生)，Sean Ono Lennon(第二任妻子，日本先锋艺术家小野洋子所生)。

　　2002年，根据BBC的民意调查，John Lennon被评定为有史以来最伟大的100位英国人中的第8位。2004年，在滚石音乐杂志的评论“流芳百世的人物:有史以来最伟大的50名流行音乐艺术家”中，John Lennon名列第38位，而他和Paul McCartney一手创建的The Beatles则名列第一。
