What would account for that?

Well, first, an awful lot of people live in China, but here's my question.

Yes. I could sing in an a cappella group,but I can't sing.

Does that mean you actually got nothing wrong?

I could row crew or invent a $25 PC.

Or you could get into a final club.

Or I get into a final club.

You know, froma woman's perspective,

sometimes not singing in an a cappella group is a good thing.

This is serious.

On the other hand,I do like guys who row crew.

Well, I can't do that.

I was kidding.

And, yes, I got nothing wrong on the test.

Maybe it's just sometimes you say two things at once.

I'm not sure which one I'm supposed to be aiming at.

1.account for :对…负有责任；对…做出解释；说明……的原因
                We can provide more than enough genetic information to account for the variability in nature.
                可提供的遗传信息对于解释自然界中的变异性来说已经绰绰有余。

2.an awful lot of :许多，大量的
                    You have to kiss an awful lot of frogs before you find a prince.
                    你要吻过无数青蛙后才找到你的白马王子。

3.distinguish oneself in   :因…而出名，使自己出名；使超出别人；使杰出
                           Captured oneself characteristic, hold high characteristic old standard, make characteristic brand, travel external, can opening the distinguish oneself in livening.
                           抓住了自己的特点，高举特色大旗，打出特色品牌，对外传播，就会在开放搞活中大显身手。

4.perspective n. 透视图；远景；观点
               So from the global perspective, it is very important.
               所以从全局的角度来看，这是很重要的。

But you've seen guys who row crew, right?

定语从句：　定语从句是由关系代词或关系副词引导的从句，其作用是作定语修饰主句的某个名词性成分，相当于形容词，所以又称为形容词性从句，一般紧跟在它所修饰的先行词后面。在复合句中，修饰某一名词或代词叫做定语从句。

定语从句分为两类：限制性定语从句和非限制性从句

I still remember the first time I met her. 我仍然记得我第一次见到她。（限制性定语从句）

There is somebody here who wants to speak to you. 这里有人要和你说话。（限制性定语从句）

He seems not to have grasped what I meant, which greatly upsets me. 他似乎没抓住我的意思，这使我心烦。（非限制性从句）

I like the music for the very reason that(for which) he dislike it. 我出于某种原因喜欢这种音乐，而他恰恰与我相反。（非限制性定语从句）
