Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,and have not love,
虽然我是以男人和天使的口吻说话,但失去爱,
I am become as sounding brass,or a tinkling cymbal.
我就会变成一件发出单调声响的铜管,一只叮叮作响的铙钹而已.
And though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries,
and all knowledge,and though I have all faith,
虽然我拥有预知和洞悉所有奥秘,所有知识的天赋,虽然我有十足的信心,令我能够推动山脉,
so that I could remove mountains,and have not love,I'm nothing.
但如果失去了爱,我将不名一钱.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor,
and though I give my body to be burned,
and have not love,it profiteth me nothing.
虽然我把我所有的钱财都赠予贫苦大众,虽然我为此屈身,但失去了爱就将一无所有.
Love suffereth long,and is kind;love eniveth not;
爱经历长久,是宽容的;爱不会妒忌;
love vaunteth not itelf,is not puffed up,doth not behave itself unseemly;
爱不会吹夸自己,不趾高气扬,也不会不得体地表现自己.
seeketh not her own,is not easily provoked,thinketh no evil;
爱不会为自己迷失,也不容易被误导,没有丝毫的邪念;
rejoiceth not in iniquity,but rejoiceth in the truth;
爱不会对邪恶感到欣喜,只对真理雀跃;
teareth all things,believeth all things,hopeth all things,endureth all things.
承受一切,相信一切,对一切心存希望,包容一切.
Love never faileth:but whether there be prophecies,they shall fail;
whether there be tongues,they shall cease;
爱永不会被击败:对爱情猜测,就会失败;对爱刻薄,就应该停止;
whether there be knowledge,it shall uanish away.
对爱心存偏见,爱就会消逝.
For we know in part.And we prophesy in part.
只是因为我们对爱一知半解.
But when that which is perfect is come,
then that which is in part shall be done away.
当爱美好的一面到来时,在一定程度上它又被抹杀了.
When I was a child,I spake as a child,I understood as a child,I thought as a child:
当我是小孩的时候,我说话就像个小孩,我的理解像小孩,我的思想像小孩:
but when I became a man.
长大后我变得更加稳健,
I put away childish things.
扔掉了孩童时的稚气.
For now we see through a glass darkly but then face to face:
那时我们面对面而现在却是隔着暗淡的玻璃相视:
now I know in part;but then shall I know even as also I am known.
现在我们变得一知半解;那时我理解我能够理解的一切.
And now abideth faith,hope,love,these three;but the greatest of these is love.
现在去遵循信念,希望,爱情,这三样中,最伟大的就是爱.
