　　1. promise n. 许诺，允诺;希望

　　vt. 允诺，许诺;给人以……的指望或希望

　　vi. 许诺;有指望，有前途

　　Good people keep promises and are honest. 善良的人讲信用，守承诺，是诚实的。

　　Who can promise what? 谁能够保证什么?

　　As a youth he showed no promise of becoming a great pianist. 少年时，他未显示将来可成为一个伟大的钢琴家。

　　2. faith n. 信仰;信念;信任;忠实

　　keep faith with 对……守信用;忠于信仰

　　It's not caused by us(that we caused it), but your company broke your faith with us. 原因并不在于我方，而是贵公司不讲信用。
