一、It be ...that 句式

1.基本句式：It+be+被强调部分+who/that+其余部分

强调主语：It was we who carried out the experiment in the lab yesterday.

强调宾语：It was the experiment that we carried out in the lab yesterday.

强调地点状语：It was in the lab that we carried out that experiment yesterday.

强调时间状语：It was yesterday that we carried out that experiment in the lab.

【提示】 强调状语时用that。

2.“It be ...that”句式中的时态

（1）原句为现在时态，强调句用It is ...who/that。

普通句：We get light and heat from the sun.我们从太阳上获得光和热。

强调句：It is from the sun that we get light and heat.

（2）原句为过去时态，强调句用It was ...who/that。

普通句：We had a good seat at the front of the meeting room yesterday.

昨天，我们在会议室的前面找到一个好座位。

强调句：It was we who had a good seat at the front of the meeting room yesterday.

3.特殊句式：It might be/must have been/can’t be ...that

It must have been Philip who has taken away the book.

肯定就是菲利普拿走了这本书。

It may be Betty who will hold the discussion tomorrow.

或许明天主持讨论的正是贝蒂。

4.“It be ...that”句式中的主谓一致

It is I who am to blame for the fault.

正是我应该因这个过失而受责备。（who的谓语由I 决定）

It is you who are likely to win the contest.

可能赢这次竞赛的就是你。（who的谓语由you 决定）

It is Jack who is going to see you.正是杰克要见你的。（who的谓语由Jack 决定）

5.“not ...until ...”句式的强调句

普通句：I didn’t feel happy until I saw Mary.直到见到玛丽我才高兴起来。

强调句：It was not until I saw Mary that I felt happy.

6.“It be ...that”句式的疑问形式

（1）一般疑问句：Is/Was it+被强调部分+that/who/whom+从句？”

Is it I who am right？ 我是正确的吗？

Was it Mary that bought a new car？ 是玛丽买了新车吗？

Was it Sally who phoned just now？ 刚才打电话的正是莎丽吗？

（2）特殊疑问句：特殊疑问词+is/was+it that+从句？

Who was it that just phoned just now？ 刚才打电话的究竟是谁？

When was it that you lost your luggage？ 你究竟什么时候丢的行李？

Where was it that Shakespeare was born？ 莎士比亚出生的地方究竟在哪里？

What was it that made her ashamed of herself？ 什么事使得她很羞愧？

Why was it that she put off going abroad for further education？ 为什么她推迟出国求学？

【提示】 强调句的特殊疑问中只用that。
