《大宅门》导演郭宝昌在北京离世，享年83岁

Legendary director Guo Baochang died in Beijing on October 11 at the age of 83. Respect the wishes of myself and my family, the funeral will be simple, no body farewell ceremony.

10月11日，传奇导演郭宝昌在北京离世，人生定格83岁。尊重本人及家属意愿，丧事从简，不举行遗体告别仪式。

2001年，历经45年，郭宝昌以自己26年宅门生涯写就的《大宅门》问世，沧桑过同仁堂的荣辱兴衰，剧中90%的情节均有据可查，然而作品同他本人一样命运多舛，四写四毁，却依然在风雨飘摇中顽强生长，直至成为传世之作。

Zhang Yimou once said, "Without Guo Baochang, there would be no fifth generation of Chinese directors."

郭宝昌在艺术领域是公认的“有豪气、有面子”，第五代导演集体称他“宝爷”，被他提携的后辈中就有陈凯歌、张艺谋、田壮壮的名字。在广西电影制片厂任职时，郭宝昌扶植张艺谋、陈凯歌等导演推出《一个和八个》、《黄土地》等作品，奠定了中国第五代导演的基础。张艺谋曾说：“没有郭宝昌，就没有中国第五代导演”。

《大宅门》是郭宝昌生命的全部，晚年，这部作品相继搬上话剧和京剧的舞台，走遍全国，以不同的艺术形式留予后人。童年看戏、少年迷戏、青年痴戏，中年思考戏，暮年研究戏，郭宝昌在80多岁的年纪写就《了不起的游戏》一书，以自己的方式讲述京剧的无法割舍与无法冷落。自称急赤白咧赶紧把想要干的事情都干完了，就是怕再不写就没机会了，而这也是他对得起老祖宗的方式。

晚年虽患病，但郭宝昌仍笔耕不辍，80岁提笔，83岁含血带泪的60万字长篇小说《大宅门》定稿，他说，“每到大风起兮的时候，我的思绪总随着风回到那个年代……”如今，心愿达成的郭宝昌随宅门风云而去，这一辈子做了太多事，又好像只做了一件事，那就是《大宅门》。
