The Boys star Erin Moriarty is firing back at Megyn Kelly after the former Fox News host accused her of getting extreme plastic surgery.

To receive a message about a disgustingly false, counterproductive to the degree of being ironically misogynistic video of Megyn Kelly commenting on the manner — to learn the widespread nature of this has left me horrified."

During a Jan. 17 episode of The Megyn Kelly Show podcast, Kelly aired a segment with The Daily Wire's Michael Knowles calling plastic surgery a "social illness." Kelly accused Moriarty of being an example of an "addiction" to augmenting your face. "More and more young women are doing this," Kelly said. "It’s not about an objection to plastic surgery, it’s about an obsession with turning yourself into this fake version of yourself... I find it like a sign of mental illness. I really want to get in the heads of these young girls and say, 'Please don’t do this.'"

Kelly displayed an image of the star that she claimed was "relatively recent" and called a "nice, beautiful, natural gal" before describing how shocked she was to see a newer photo of Moriarty. "I thought it was just an AI-generated face... but apparently it’s real," she added. "She’s done this to herself."

In her post on Friday, Moriarty said that the "before" photo Kelly showed was actually a much older picture. "Megyn used a photo taken 'a year ago' according to her, that had in actuality been taken about a decade ago before I was of LEGAL DRINKING AGE (I'm about to turn 30) as an example (maybe do some research that would take 30 seconds)," Moriarty wrote. She added that the "after" photo Kelly claimed as proof that she had plastic surgery was from when she "got my make up done that day and it involves major contouring and I remember leaving and feeling pretty." (Moriarty has since deleted the photo from Instagram.)

The actor added that she's only keeping her Instagram account active so that others can read her statement, but "otherwise, consider it deactivated" as she's "horrified by the reaction, the reductive assumptions, and the aforementioned video that is a primary example of such harassment. It's broken my heart. You've broken my heart."
