Corenswet arrives in the first look at Superman, the film written and directed by James Gunn that will anchor the newly made-over DC cinematic universe.

The filmmaker has been actively shooting down rumors about the film left and right, often on social media platform Threads. Previously titled Superman: Legacy, Superman revolves around Kal-El trying to balance his Kryptonian heritage with his upbringing as Clark Kent from Smallville. "When I finished the first draft of the script, I called the film Superman: Legacy," Gunn explained in a social media post in February. "By the time I locked the final draft, it was clear the title was Superman. Making our way to you July 2025."
