China officially kicked off a national online platform for social insurance on Sunday after a month-long test. The platform streamlines 18 unified national services in eight categories for insured individuals and employers. Through the system, users can check the status of their social security account, progress in transferring social insurance and estimate roughly how much they will receive in pension in future.

经过一个月的试运行，国家社会保险公共服务平台9月15日正式上线。该平台为参保人员和参保单位开通了8类18项全国性统一服务。用户可以通过该平台查看社保账户状态、了解社会保险关系转移业务的办理进度、测算未来能领到多少养老金。

在我国，社会保险是社会保障体系的重要组成部分，在整个社会保障体系中居于核心地位。社会保险资金主要由用人单位和劳动者本人缴纳，政府财政给予补贴并承担最终的责任。社会保险的主要项目包括养老保险、医疗保险、失业保险、工伤保险、生育保险。国家社会保险公共服务平台是全国统一的社会保险公共服务的总门户。参保人可以通过访问国家社会保险公共服务平台门户网站(http://si.12333.gov.cn)，或者下载“掌上12333”手机APP，经过用户注册登录后体验相关服务。平台中的“社保查询”服务可按“多地参保、集中展现”的形式查询社会保险缴费、待遇等年度个人权益信息;“待遇资格认证”服务除了可以通过“刷脸”完成社会保险待遇资格认证，还可以通过选择“代人认证”服务，帮助参保人员家人进行待遇资格认证;“养老金测算”服务可以根据参保人员目前的养老保险缴费情况，估算出未来领到的养老金情况;“异地就医”查询服务可以随时查询跨省异地就医费用和备案信息。
