中国品牌日活动于5月10日启动，将持续到至12日。活动内容包括，举办2021年中国品牌发展国际论坛，举办中国自主品牌博览会，引导地方自行组织开展特色品牌创建活动。
The 2021 China Brand Day events kicked off on May 10 and will last till May 12. During the period, China will host an international forum on China brand development and an expo on China indigenous brands, the events will also help to guide local governments to organize activities to create distinctive brands.

2016年6月，国务院印发了《关于发挥品牌引领作用推动供需结构升级的意见 》， 提出设立“中国品牌日”，凝聚品牌发展社会共识，营造品牌发展良好氛围，搭建品牌发展交流平台，提高自主品牌影响力和认知度。2017年4月24日，国务院批准将每年5月10日设立为“中国品牌日”。
2021年中国品牌日活动主题是“中国品牌，世界共享；聚力双循环，引领新消费”。
品牌是生产者和消费者共同的追求，是供给侧和需求侧升级的方向，是企业乃至国家综合竞争力的重要体现。加强品牌建设，有利于推动经济大国向经济强国转变，有利于满足人们更高层次物质文化需求，有利于弘扬中华文化、提升中国形象。发展品牌经济，就是以新发展理念为指导，全面改善影响品牌发展的质量、创新、诚信、文化、人才、营销和环境等要素，推动产业结构调整，促进经济转型升级，为实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦奠定更加坚实的基础。

发展特色产业是地方做实做强做优实体经济的一大实招，要结合自身条件和优势，推动高质量发展。要把住质量安全关，推进标准化、品牌化。
The development of local signature industries is a major practical move to make the local real economy stronger. The region should explore its advantages and embark on a path of high-quality development fit for its own situation. In the meantime, quality and safety should be high on the agenda and businesses are urged to promote standardization and branding of their products.
