e.g. <1>He’ll definitely be going to jail. They caught him red-handed trying to take the jewelry out of the shop.

e.g. <1>He’s got lots of money so he had no motive to rob the bank.

<2>He wanted to show his girlfriend that he could drive but he didn’t have a car. That was his motive for stealing one.
他想展示给他的女朋友他可以开车，可是他没有车，这就是他要偷一辆车的动机。
