Today,more and more libraries are using computers to help them organize the vast amount of information they contain.In many modern libraries,an on-line computer catalog has taken the place of the old card catalog.In such cases,library patrons must use a computer terminal to find the books they need.The on-line catalog is like a card catalog on computer.It offers several advantages,such as speed and up-to-date information on a book's status.
