　　1. 解词释义

　　Throw something away有几个意思。第一个是：discard something as useless or unwanted(因不需要而扔掉，抛弃某物)。第二个是：fail to make use of something(未能利用某事物)。第三个是：throw away the opportunity, advantage(失去机会，失去优势)。在该对话中是第三个意思。因此，对话中“Don’t quit school and throw it all away.”的意思是“不要放弃学业，浪费机会。”
