　　1 . 解词释义

　　此语的意思是“做事直接，毫无顾忌”“对(做某事)不犹豫”。其英文解释为：to make no mistake (aboutit); no need to doubt it。如果你有狂热的想法，做出后会有不好的结果，但是你还是要试一试，就可以这样说：I will make no bones about it. 也就是中文中“某人豁出去了。”的意思的表达。

　　2. 拓展范例

　　e.g. If only John had been in question, you would have joined and made no bones about it?

　　要是问题只在于约翰，你就不会有任何顾虑而早就加入了吧?

　　e.g. Make no bones about it, Mary is a great singer.

　　毋庸置疑玛丽是名出色的歌唱家。

　　e.g. I shall make no bones about doing what I think is best.

　　只要我认为是最好的，我便会毫不犹豫地去做。

　　e.g. They make no bones about how they left.

　　他们毫不掩饰他们是怎样离开的。

　　Ps：对话中有一个语法现象表示本不应该做的事情但是有做了，体现在谓语上should not have spoken。结构是：should not have done。例如：

　　I should not have done so, other than for the most compelling reasons.

　　要不是出于非常紧迫的原因，我本不应该这样唐突的。

　　But for that, I should not have moved hand or foot in such a wild enterprise in the dark.

　　要不是为了这个，我决不会动手动脚在黑暗中乱闯。
