Bull有“公牛”的意思，在这里是俚语，是指“胡说八道”“完全错误的事情”，相当于bullshit。Bullshit虽然粗俗却很流行，bull或B.S.是bullshit的委婉说法。A lot of bull也可以说为a load of bull.
