　　1. 解词释义

　　Gag一词做为俚语，其意思为“笑话和滑稽故事”，相当于“joke or sunny story”。例如： Jane was tellinga few rather feeble gags this afternoon. (Jane在今天下午说了几个没什么生趣的笑话。)对话中“What is the gag?”是美国人常用的俚语，意思是询问对方做成功某事的奥妙或者是诡计，计谋，也可以说为“What is the trick?”

　　Ps 1：do a great job的意思是“做得非常出色”，表示“把某件事情做得很好”，可以说do a great job of it。例如：

　　I trust you to do a great job for Stan's sake.

　　我拜托你看在斯坦的份上干得非常出色。

　　If we don't do a great job now, all the work we've done will be wasted.

　　倘若我们弄得不好，就会全功尽弃。

　　We don't doubt that he can do a good job of it.

　　我们并不怀疑他能把这事做得很好。

　　Ps 2：win one’s trust的意思是“赢得某人的信任，取得某人的信任”。
