57. A Visit to No. 4 High School in Beijing 参观北京四中
Before the Entrance Examinations to Senior High School, our teachers arranged a visit for us to the No. 4 High School in Beijing. The school made a deep impression on me.
No. 4 High School is located at the center of Beijing, and has a history of 90 years. It is one of the most well-known schools in the city with over 2,000 students and about 180 teachers. 在中考之前，老师组织我们去参观北京四中，这个学校给我留下深刻印象。
First, the school president showed us around. The school looks like a beautiful garden with flowers, green trees, fountains and new buildings everywhere.
北京四中位于市中心，具有90年的历史。这是北京最著名的中学之一，有2000多学生，约180位教师。
It has only senior students, divided into three grades and 38 classes, and apparently there are more boys than girls. Then, we went to the meeting hall.
首先，校长带我们参观校园，整个学校看上去像一个美丽的花园，到处都是鲜花、绿树、喷泉和崭新的楼房。
The person, who was in charge of teaching , introduced their school and courses. The teachers here are excellent and have either masters degrees or doctors degrees.
北京四中只有高中，分三个年级、38个班级，男生显然多于女生。然后，我们来到会议厅，负责教学工作的教师给我们介绍了学校的教学和课程。
They love their students and their work. Fourteen subjects are taught in the school, including mathematics, Chinese, physics, chemistry, English, and so on. The students are excellent, too. They take special interest in their studies and work hard.
这个学校的教师队伍是优秀的，他们都拥有硕士或博士学位，热爱学生和教学工作。学校共开14门课，包括数学、语文、物理、化学、英语等。四中的学生也很优秀，他们对学习有兴趣，十分努力。
The three-hour visit passed quickly. Since then, I have made up my mind that I would like to be one of the students of No. 4 High School in Beijing.
三小时的参观很快结束，然而，从那时起，我决心争取成为北京四中的一名学生。
