Like most of my schoolmates, I have neither brothers nor sisters - in other words, I am the only child of my family.
像我的大多数同学一样，我既没有兄弟也没有姐妹，换句话，我是独生子女。
My parents love me dearly of course and do all they can to make sure that I can get a good education and happy life. They don't want me to do any housework at home; they only want me to devote all my time to my studies so that I'll get good marks in all my subjects. We are one family and live under the same roof, but we do not seem to get much time to talk together.
父母当然很爱我，尽他们所能让我受良好的教育和幸福的生活。在家里他们不让我做任何家务，而让我把时间都用于学习，希望我所有的科目都拿到好成绩。我们是一家人，生活在同一屋檐下，可是我们很少有时间交流谈话。
It looks as if my parents treat me as a visitor or a guest. Do they really understand their own daughter? I wonder how things are in other homes.
