Newspapers and magazines play an important role in our daily lives. Many people begin their day by reading newspapers at breakfast or on the way to work. They learn what is going on in the city and in the world, find some information which they are interested in, and obtain knowledge about people's daily life, such as medicine, nutrition, sports, traveling, etc.
报纸和杂志在我们的日常生活中起到了重要的作用，许多人在吃早餐和上班的路上读报纸，他们的一天就是在读报中开始的。通过这种方式，人们了解这个城市和世界上上发生的事情，搜寻他们感兴趣的消息，获取人们日常生活所需的知识，例如，医药、营养、体育、旅游等。
Magazines also play an important role, they can bring a large amount of information to people. Some are weekly magazines, and some, monthly. There are news magazines, literary magazines, and magazines for such special interests as photography, sports, art and music. Some magazines are mainly for men, while others are for women or children. In a word, there are magazines for every taste and interest.
