education的用法与搭配问题

1. 表示“教育”，作为抽象名词，一般不可数。如：

My parents both work in education. 我父母都从事教育工作。

Some films combine education with recreation. 有些电影把教育和娱乐结合在一起。

但是，若指某一种教育或一段教育，则可以连用不定冠词。如：

A good education is expensive. 受良好教育的费用很高。

She gave her child a first-rate education. 她给了她孩子一流的教育。

2. 表示“接受礼物”，英语用 accept 不用 receive, 但是表示“接受教育”，英语通常是用 receive 而不用 accept。如：

A child receives its early education at home. 幼儿在家接受早期教育。

He was fortunate enough to receive a college education. 他有幸受过大学教育。

3.“高等教育”说成英语是 higher education, 而不能是 high education。如：

The government’s policy on higher education is a success. 政府的高等教育政策很成功。
