英语哪些名词是永远不可数的

英语中有些名词是永远不可数的，这类词在中学英语也不少，但真正常考并且容易出错的则不多，比较常见的：baggage / luggage(行李), clothing(衣服), furniture(家具), machinery(机器), poetry(诗), scenery(风景), jewelry(珠宝)，equipment(设备)等, 其用法特点为：是不可数名词，只用单数形式，不用不定冠词(当然更不能用数词)，没有复数形式。如：

How much baggage do you have? 你有多少行李?

They examined all baggage at the airport. 他们在机场检查了所有行李。

We shared out food and clothing to the poor.  我们把食品与衣服分给穷人。

The storeroom was choked with furniture. 储藏室塞满了家具。

The truck conveyed machinery across the country. 这辆卡车在全国各地运送机器。

注意，machinery, poetry, jewelry, scenery 相应的个体可数名词是 machine, poem, jewel, scene。如：
