他是个胆小鬼。

chicken 指“小鸡”，因温驯、胆小而出名。所以 a chicken guy 的理解就是：“像小鸡一样胆小的人”，也就是：“胆小鬼，懦弱的人”。因此，当美国人说"He is a chicken guy."时，他/她要表达的意思就是:"He is a coward."、"He is as timid as a rabbit."。
