我们有时欲从事某项活动，想邀请某人一起参加，可使用本句，来询问对方的意思，若对方见我们态度诚恳，多半会共襄盛举的。
A：Hey，Peter，have you had lunch yet?
甲：嗨，彼得，你吃过午饭了吗?
B：No.How about you?
乙：没有。 那你呢?
A：Not yet.Let’s go to that restaurant on the corner.
甲：也还没有，咱们一块去转角处那家餐厅用餐吧。

除“How about +名词或代名词?”的句型外，尚可使用“How about +V-ing (动名词)?”的句型。

=What do you say to go to a movie tonight?
此外，词组“on the corner”与“at the corner”意思相同，均表示“在转角处”，但“in the corner”则表示“室内之角落处”。
